Location:
Close to Frankfurt am Main, Germany
Venue:
Hilton Frankfurt Gravenbruch
Motto:
Energizing stainless market growth with strategic development

Following the tremendous success of last year’s conference in Istanbul, which welcomed more than 400 delegates from over 200 companies worldwide, SMR Events is proud to invite the global stainless and special steel community to its flagship conference in 2026.

Held near Frankfurt am Main, Germany, the event will bring together senior decision-makers and industry leaders from across the entire stainless steel and special alloys value chain, including raw material suppliers, steel producers, distributors, processors, and end users.

Over the course of three dynamic days, delegates will gain valuable market intelligence, strategic insights, and first-hand perspectives on the trends and challenges shaping the future of the industry. The conference will also provide exceptional networking opportunities, connecting key players from around the world in an open and interactive environment.

A central focus of this year’s event will be the discussion on how to stimulate new market opportunities for stainless steel and nickel alloys, strengthen demand, and drive sustainable long-term growth for the industry.

Join us in Frankfurt to exchange ideas, build new partnerships, and help shape the future of the stainless steel market at what promises to be a must-attend event for the global stainless and special steel industry.

Cronimet Holding GmbH

CRONIMET is a global specialist for stainless steel scrap, ferroalloys and primary metals. Today, the family-owned company is active on six continents with around 75 locations in the global procurement markets for secondary raw materials.

CRONIMET has been a supplier to the stainless steel producing industry for over four decades and is the world market leader in stainless steel recycling. As the conservation of resources is becoming increasingly important, the Group is striving to develop further in these future markets and to constantly improve through innovation and research.

The company is based on the pillars Recycling and Primary Materials. A comprehensive range of products and services is built on this solid foundation. It ranges from processed stainless steel and scrap metal to special and superalloys. Whether pure or precisely recombined, CRONIMET guarantees its customers exact analyses of all materials. If required, all components are provided in chargeable form for the melting process.

In addition to focusing on scrap, CRONIMET is also working on other innovative ideas to keep valuable metallic raw materials in circulation and to optimize the use of metallic raw materials. The subsidiary CRONIMET Envirotec uses innovative vacuum distillation technology to recover metal residues and filter dust from metal sludge, for example from production processes in the automotive sector, steelworks and foundries, in an environmentally friendly way. These can be returned to the melt in the form of metal briquettes. In Brazil, CRONIMET converts tungsten and molybdenum concentrates into ferro molybdenum and ferro tungsten. We have also built the first FeTi70% plant of Latin America, which is produced with scrap mainly purchased and processed in our EU and US operations. In addition, the FeTi70% and some other products as FeB and Carbon are being produced in our cored wire plant, serving mainly to the Brazilian steel sector a wide range of primary materials.

The CRONIMET Group's company revomet deals with the recycling of batteries from electric vehicles. During the year 2026, the Bitterfeld site will have its own facility for shredding entire battery packs and then separating them into their various components. This will further advance CRONIMET's efforts to keep valuable metallic raw materials in the cycle.
