CRONIMET has been a supplier to the stainless steel producing industry for over four decades and is the world market leader in stainless steel recycling. As the conservation of resources is becoming increasingly important, the Group is striving to develop further in these future markets and to constantly improve through innovation and research.

CRONIMET is a global specialist for stainless steel scrap, ferroalloys and primary metals. Today, the family-owned company is active on six continents with around 70 locations in the global procurement markets for secondary raw materials.

The company is based on the pillars Recycling, Trading and Processing. A comprehensive range of products and services is built on this solid foundation. The subsidiary CRONIMET Envirotec uses innovative vacuum distillation technology to recover metal residues and filter dust from metal sludge, for example from production processes in the automotive sector, steelworks and foundries, in an environmentally friendly way. These can be returned to the melt in the form of metal briquettes.

The CRONIMET Group's newest company, Revomet, deals with the recycling of batteries from electric vehicles. From the end of 2024, the Bitterfeld site will have its own facility for shredding entire battery packs and then separating them into their various components. This will further advance CRONIMET's efforts to keep valuable metallic raw materials in the cycle.
