On March 1st, 2017 Andreas Scharf, was appointed Managing Director Sales and Marketing of BGH Edelstahlwerke GmbH.

He joined Saarstahl AG in 1990 in the sales office in Berlin, and worked as sales engineer from 1991 till 1993 in the sales department of Saarstahl AG. From 1994 till 2000, he already worked for BGH Edelstahl Siegen. In 2004 after a short time for Usinor Auto S.A., he joined the GMH Group, in charge of the business of the Schmiedewerke Gröditz. He was appointed CEO of the Business Unit Forging Technology of the GMH Group in Germany in 2009. Andreas holds a Ph.D. in Metallurgy and Material Science from the Mining Academy in Freiberg / Germany.
