Mr. Robert (Bob) Wetherbee is currently Executive Vice President of ATI Flat Rolled Products Group at Allegheny Technologies Incorporated.  He returned to ATI in April 2014 as President of ATI Flat Rolled Products with over 32 years of metals industry experience including three years as President of ATI’s Tungsten Materials business.

In August 2018, Mr. Wetherbee was appointed ATI’s President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2019 and is currently acting as ATI’s CEO-Designate in addition to his current role as Executive Vice President, Flat Rolled Products Group.

He served as President & Chief Executive Officer of Minerals Technologies Inc. in 2013.

Prior to those experiences, Bob lead numerous global businesses and initiatives over 29 years with Alcoa where he held roles of increasing responsibility in general management, finance, marketing & business development.  Notably, he served as President, Rigid Packaging in Knoxville, TN; President – Sheet & Plate Products in Chicago, IL; and interim CEO – Metalspectrum.com, an industry-led ecommerce marketplace based in Atlanta, GA.

Mr. Wetherbee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Iowa State University.  He is a member of ATI's Executive Council, member of the AIST Foundation Board of Trustees, and maintains numerous professional affiliations
