Chris Zimmer was appointed President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Universal Stainless in November 2023.

Chris joined Universal Stainless in 2008 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer in 2014, then Chief Operating Officer in April 2023.  Chris began his career in the metals industry in 1995 with Ugitech (Swiss Steel today) where he held positions of increasing responsibility including inside sales, field sales, Commercial Manager-stainless bar, General Manager-nickel alloy products, National Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Chris holds a Bachelor Science in Business and Management, with a minor in Psychology, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
