Christy Gellert joined Vale Canada Limited in March 2021 as a Senior Market Analyst in Base Metals after 10 years in Canadian Oil & Gas. At Vale, Christy is focused on demand side fundamental analysis for Nickel and Cobalt and metal price forecasting for budgeting and strategic planning.

Christy started her career in Oil & Gas as a CPA before pursuing her CFA and transitioning into market analytics. After 3 years of global crude oil fundamental analysis in a mid-sized Oil & Gas Company, she accepted a role in natural gas trading in 2019. In 2020, she joined Husky Energy as a Senior Market Analyst and briefly worked at Cenovus Energy in a similar role. Christy holds a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business from the University of Calgary, a CPA, CMA designation and is currently pursuing her CFA and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
