ELG is a global leader in the trading, processing and recycling of raw materials for the stainless steel industry as well as high performance materials such as superalloys, titanium and carbon fibres. His career path brought him from positions in the Haniel holding company and the German ELG subsidiary to ELG company headquarters in 1992.

After two years, the business administration graduate became head of the Controlling and Finance department there. Over time he took various positions in the group including working for ELG in the USA.

In 2007 he rose to the position of Group Chief Financial Officer.
