For more than twenty years, Gerhard has been active in the steel and raw materials industry. In 2023 he joined the Oryx Stainless Group - a leading recycler of raw materials for the stainless industry - in Sales and Corporate Development. Gerhard entered the field of stainless recycling in 2017 and most recently was Vice President Strategy and member of the executive committee of an international raw materials and scrap recycling company. During that time, he also represented the recycling segment at the International Chromium Development Association’s industrial council. Gerhard is a well-known steel raw materials and recycling industry expert. He is a metallurgical engineer by training and holds a PhD of the RWTH Aachen University.
