Johann Steiner serves as President & CEO of Outokumpu’s business area Americas. He oversees one of the most technically advanced stainless steel mills in the U.S. headquartered in Calvert, Alabama as well as a stainless steel finishing plant in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Outokumpu is one of the largest stainless steel producers in the world and a listed company headquartered in Helsinki.

Johann has worked with Outokumpu since 2013 in various leadership roles that included Executive Vice President for Strategy, Human Resources & Health, Safety, Sustainability, IT, and Communications.

Prior to his time with Outokumpu, Johann worked with the SAG Group, Humatica AG, Clariant International AG and Airbus.

Johann is as a member of Outokumpu’s Leadership Team since 2013.

A native of Germany, Johann holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Passau.
