Kati ter Horst is the President and CEO of Outokumpu Corporation, the leading producer of sustainable stainless steel in Europe and #2 in the Americas. Outokumpu is the undisputed sustainability leader in the industry with 75% lower carbon footprint than the industry average. Outokumpu also operates a modern chromium mine in Finland, the only one in the EU-area.  Kati assumed her CEO role on October 1, 2024, after serving eight years on Outokumpu’s Board.

With extensive international experience, Kati is a seasoned leader in the process industry and manufacturing. Before Outokumpu, she held the position of EMEA CEO at Aliaxis (2022–2024) and was a member of its Executive Committee. She also spent over 25 years at Stora Enso (1996-2022), most recently 8 years as Executive Vice President, Head of Stora Enso Paper Division and the member of the Group Leadership team. She currently serves on the boards of Technology Industries of Finland, European Steel Association and European Business Leaders’ Convention.

Kati holds an M.Sc. (Econ.) and an MBA (International Business).
