As President of IACBAM (International Association for the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism), he leads a global network focused on CBAM knowledge-sharing, professional standards, and certification. Under his leadership, IACBAM has developed leading international CBAM standards and built a neutral platform where regulators, industry, and service providers connect.

In addition, Marcel serves as Chief CBAM Officer at Dubrink, overseeing commercial strategy, partnerships, and international expansion. He works closely with importers, suppliers, verifiers, and financial institutions to translate complex CBAM regulations into practical, scalable solutions.

Marcel holds two master’s degrees from Erasmus University Rotterdam and previously laid the foundation for his strategic and commercial leadership at Unilever. His mission is to help organisations navigate CBAM with clarity while creating new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
