Sid Sousa was born in Portugal and grew up and was educated in Canada. He started his metal career working for the Kloeckner Canadian group in 1985 and spent the first five years of his career in sales. He has held senior procurement positions with three major North American service centers over the last 30 years. Sid joined Samuel, Son & Co in 2008 following the company’s acquisition of Kloeckner Canada. He accepted an appointment within the Samuel group as V.P. Stainless Steel Purchasing in 2011 and added Corporate Indirect Procurement responsibilities in 2014 followed by Aluminum Procurement earlier this year. He is a service center industry veteran with a number of progressively responsible Multi-Metal procurement positions.
