Stefan Schilbe

Stefan Schilbe is Chief German Economist of HSBC. Since 2001, he is in charge of the Economic Research department. In this function, he advises companies, institutional and private investors on their asset allocation and financing decisions. Stefan is a sought-after speaker on national and international conferences, member of the "Economic and Monetary Policy Committee" of the Association of German private Banks (chairman from 2012 – 2014), member of the “Chief Economists Group” of the European Banking Federation EBF and several investment advisory committees. Furthermore, he has gained many years of experience as a member of the advisory board of a medium-sized family office and is a long-standing lecturer of the Private Finance Institute at the European Business School (ebs) in Oestrich-Winkel.
