Dr. Vinay Deodeshmukh is currently working as Sr. Director of Marketing and Business Development. In this role, he is responsible for application development of high performance alloys (HPA), market development, technical marketing, special projects, and commercialization of new products.

Dr. Deodeshmukh started his career in R&T as a Senior Staff Engineer, where he worked on high temperature and corrosion research and testing of HPA. He carried out numerous failure analyses, performed corrosion testing, and consulted extensively on materials selection. He held various roles in Marketing group as Market Manager, Sr. Marketing Manager, and Director of Marketing and Business Development. He also developed several applications in the Aerospace, CPI, Industrial gas turbines, Emerging energy markets, and Additive Manufacturing. Vinay has been responsible for commercialization of several new alloys.

Dr. Deodeshmukh is the co-inventor of HAYNES® HR-235® alloy, and has three U.S. patents and patent applications and several other patents worldwide. He has authored or coauthored more than sixty technical publications.

Vinay earned his BS in Metallurgical Engineering from COEP Tech (formerly College of Engineering Pune), MS in Metallurgical Engineering from University of Nevada, Reno and PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Iowa State University.  

Vinay received Mars Fontana and Marcel Pourbaix Awards for best posters in Corrosion Science & Engineering from AMPP (formerly NACE International).
